That’s because business isn’t an airport runway, it’s more like a rutted country two-track. The only way around is through. Hang on, and brace for the bumps.
But that need for resilience doesn’t just live in the corner office these days.
Today, more of your people interact with more potential customers in more ways than ever. No time for a carefully considered “strategic” reaction to everything that happens. No time to wait for help from the IT department, or an answer from a co-worker who’s out today.
These days, things happen in real-time—real fast. And everyone has to be ready.
A Moment of Pride
That’s why I’m so proud of Superior and our people these days. We recently claimed our fifth consecutive Best of Print and Digital award, which is based totally on objective reviews provided by our customers.
It’s a great feeling every time, of course. But when I think back on the past year, and the way our company and every person in our organization stepped up, I get almost emotional. As a company, we pivoted to deliver critical PPE to our home state, our customers, and a whole lot of businesses who needed it to stay in business.
But as for our people? Wow. Based on the comments our customers made about them to the company gathering the reviews, they were just incredible.
Instead of feeling sorry for themselves, whining about what they couldn’t do, they got out there and did more. Did it well. And did it with a positive attitude.
That, my friends, is resilience.
I can’t thank them enough.
